Research: Target Audience

After researching into the genre of dance pop we found that the typical and stereotypical target audience for this particular genre is young teens and young adults ranging from ages 13 – 26, because of this we are attempting to base our decisions around this target audience. We have chosen to have our main focal character within this age range too allow the target audience to relate and make a connection to the character themselves. The target audience consists of a range of different ages meaning that we need to try representing and appealing to this wide target audience which we can achieve by using a range of different people included in the music video. Costume and location are also something we can use to appeal to our target audience.
